The new eating disorder- it may surprise you

     By: Madison B.

When you hear Eating Disorder, what do you think? Most likely you think anorexia or bulimia, but probably not binge eating. Binge eating is when you over eat on a regular basis, and now nearly three times as many people have binge eating disorder as anorexia and bulimia combined.

Now, binge eating isn't having the munchies some of the time and over eating, binge eating is when you skip out on hanging out with friends to eat or hiding food in your room.

Binge eating can result in you getting diabetes or having intestinal problems. It can take a huge toll on your self-confidence and maybe even push you to becoming anorexic or bulimic.

If you over eat sometimes, and when you do you don't stress about it, don't worry! You most likely don't have binge eating disorder. If you do over eat on a regular basis (every night) and when you do over eat you eat to the point where you’re sick, then you might have binge eating disorder and you might want to bring it up with your parents.

If you do feel like you have binge eating disorder, don't stress, you're not alone, it's one of the most common eating disorders now-a-days. Just remember, you're strong and you're great.
